With the project BIOX the company Austrian Energy & Environment has taken the first step toward developing fluidised bed technology for the highly efficient use of new biogenic fuels with the possibility of CO2-free pure oxygen operation. Using pure oxygen the resulting fumes can be easily captured and stored in natural gas or oil fields to increase the yield or in geological storage facilities. www.aee-austria.at.
