The energy region of Eastern Styria wants to become the European champion in efficient street lighting. 45% of public electricity costs originate from street lighting . Initiated by the local energy agency eastern Styria, the project “LICHTSTRASSE Oststeiermark” is to increase the energy efficiency of municipal street lighting systems by supporting municipalities with measures such as energy monitoring, training concepts and support process development aimed at the rehabilitation of obsolete plant facilities. www.lea.at.
