First comprehensive recycling plant for waste electrical and electronic equipment in the Alps-Adriatic region

e-cycling Park opened

05.11.10
In November 2010 still, the new recycling plant for waste electrical and electronic equipment will be opened. At its Unterpremstätten site, the company Saubermacher has been operating a plant for the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment since 1996. Now, this plant is supplemented with a special recycling plant for small electrical appliances, which makes it a unique overall plant (e-cycling Park) for the recycling of any waste electrical and electronic equipment in the Alps-Adriatic region.

With this recycling plant, up to 15,000t of small electrical appliances can be recycled in an environmentally friendly manner each year. So far, small electrical appliances had to be transported for hundreds of kilometres for further handling, since a respective plant was not available in the Alps-Adriatic region. Around 80 new jobs are created at the site. For more information, go to www.eco.at.
