Trend-setting wood gasification technology

05.11.10
Not only in the area of decentralised small plants, but also for industrial standards, trend-setting technologies in wood gasification are currently developed in Styria, with the objective of producing energy in a sustainable and CO2-neutral manner.

With their two-stage gas purification concept, the biomass power stations of Christof Group are kept extremely low in emissions. Here, they are particularly proud of the simple design, compared to other wood gasifier technologies, which despite cost-effective gas purification generates high-quality wood gas.

In St. Margarethen an der Raab, the company Cleanstgas erected the worldwide most modern wood gasification plant, which represents a worldwide novelty in the industrial standard. Unique in the process is the structural separation of the process steps of pyrolysis, oxidation and reduction. This enables exact compliance with the optimal process parameters. Using this method, an extremely low dust and particulate matter portion in the exhaust gas is achieved. With these plants, particulate matter is not a problem anymore…
