Styrian environmental businesses, from Green Tech Valley, recently returned from China following over 80 successful B2B meetings and with two co-operation deals in the bag.
Last autumn, the Cleantech Cluster ECO World Styria was the first European cluster to be awarded partnership status by the Chinese development group TEDA (Tianjin Economic Technological Development Area). Recently additional technology leaders from Styria were invited by TEDA to Tianjin for an exclusive B2B Matchmaking-Event. The aim is to forge ahead in areas of high technology through the cooperation of Styrian businesses in the Tianjin region.
In Beijing, the long-standing association with the national China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP) was extended and Styrian technologies were presented to important organisations such as the Beijing Energy Investment Holding Co. Ltd. The signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement between ECO World Styria and CIAR (China Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance for resources recycling industry) opens the door for future projects between Chinese companies and Styria.
